You may have heard of the world-renown surfing, beaches and sunsets on the Hawaiian island of Oahu. But have you heard of the goats? During my last trip to Hawaii, I took half a day to visit Sweet Land Farm on Oahu. If you're planning a trip to this beautiful island, I highly recommend you plan a trip to pet the goats, eat goat milk ice cream, and tour the farm!
Meet the Goats
The goats at Sweet Land Farm have zero stranger danger. They'll stick their heads through the gate, hoping you have a bit of food for them.
You can buy goat feed at the farm store and let them munch right out of your hand. I'm telling you, these are some of the most friendly and curious goats I've ever met!
Swoon Over the Baby Goats
Yes, there are baby goats. And yes, they'll probably make you squeal with excitement. The baby goats were truly the highlight of our visit to Sweet Land Farm on Oahu. I mean, just look at those faces!
Their teeth are much smaller than the adult goats, so I personally was less afraid of losing a finger around the baby goats. And they loved licking our hands, probably to get some of the salt from our skin.
Shop at the Farm Store
Sweet Land Farm sells a variety of goat milk products in their farm store. You can stock up on everything from goat milk soaps and lotions to goat milk caramel!
I purchased a packet of their soap ends, which was a great deal. You get three skinny pieces of different scented soap for a cheaper price, since they are the leftover ends of the soap bars they sell.
You can also take a peek through a window in the farm store to see the massive blocks of goat cheese stored in the back.
Eat ALL the Goat Milk Food
The farm store also serves food and desserts. And I never knew so much food could be made from goat milk! You have to try their goat milk macaroni and cheese. And don't leave until you get a scoop of their goat milk ice cream.
They also sell a variety of soft and hard goat milk cheeses. And since you just paid a little visit to the goats who produced these delicious cheeses, why not splurge and try a few?
Enjoy the Scenery and the Farm
After all that food, you may want to take a stroll around the farm. The views of the mountains in the distance are breath-taking. I almost forgot that I was on Hawaii, since the farm feels so remote and rural.
It's a treat to be able to take in the sunshine and landscape in such a picturesque setting. It's a welcome change from the beautiful beaches and hikes throughout Oahu.
Continue walking and you can also see where the goats get milked twice a day, every single day.
If you're planning a trip to Oahu, I recommend planning a visit to Sweet Land Farm. It's a quaint goat farm with tons of character, and it's such a different experience from the surfing and hiking that Oahu is known for.

Enjoy!!
I'm eggcited to hear from you :)
